Strowman confronted Jaxson Ryker in a singles match on RAW tonight, with Elias and Shane McMahon at ringside. It didn't take long for the former Universal Champion to put Ryker away for the win, and Elias and McMahon then started pounding on Strowman.
McMahon dashed backstage after Strowman knocked them down. The Monster then took up a microphone and declared that Shane would not be able to run away from his match at WrestleMania, and that his stooges would be able to intervene.
The contest will take place on Night One of WrestleMania on Saturday, April 10 in front of a live crowd at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida.
On WWE RAW, Shane McMahon and Braun Strowman have a rivalry.
McMahon began his feud with Strowman on the red show a few weeks ago by insulting the big man's intellect, constantly calling him "stupid."
A match between the two stars was eventually confirmed for Fastlane. However, during pre-match rehearsal on the night of the show, McMahon sustained a "knee injury," and the match was called off.
Braun Strowman, unable to stand down, went on the lookout for McMahon and requested a contest, setting up the WrestleMania match. Strowman will now face McMahon in a steel cage match, raising the stakes ever higher.
